The Komodo liveaboard that feels right from the start
Moana is for guests who want more than a beautiful boat — they want a Komodo liveaboard trip that works. Boutique, personal, and especially strong for mixed dive/snorkel couples and groups, with the flexibility and guidance to make the whole experience feel smooth, relaxed, and worth it.
"We loved the relaxed pace and personal attention — the crew found mantas for us on day two and the food was incredible."
— Tomas, UK
Why so many guests choose Moana
Because the trip is designed to feel personal, flexible, and well looked after from the start. If one of you dives and the other prefers to snorkel, if you want adventure without giving up comfort, or if you simply want Komodo to feel special rather than crowded, Moana is built for that balance.
Two kinds of liveaboard trip
The difference isn't in the destination — it's in how the trip is built.
What most liveaboards feel like
- Larger boats can feel crowded and less personal
- A more rigid schedule with less room to adapt
- Mixed groups do not always get the same flexibility
- A less personal, less tailored experience
- Less clarity around pricing and inclusions
- Slower replies and less personal communication before booking
What Moana feels like
- Max 10 guests — small enough to feel personal
- Routes shaped by weather, wildlife, and your group
- 3 guides — enough flexibility for serious divers, mixed couples, and different experience levels
- Personal from first message to long after you're home
- Clear pricing, no surprises
- Real answers within hours
A different kind of liveaboard
Some things we do differently — and why.
Most of our guests have 14–16+ days in Indonesia. A week in Bali, then 6 days with us on the water — that's the natural rhythm, and we've refined every route over 12 years to make each day count. Quality, not quantity. And guests who want more? They join a second trip — no two are ever the same.
Our cabins are cosy, comfortable, and designed for rest — not for retreating. You're in the tropics. The real living room is on deck: sunrise coffee, afternoon shade, evening stars. There's plenty of private space on board — just not behind a cabin door.
Komodo National Park has solid 4G coverage most of the time. A local eSIM costs around €10–15 with plenty of data. The few hours without signal? Those tend to be the moments guests remember most. Share your photos when you're back in range — or enjoy being truly offline for a while.
Komodo is worth diving far beyond a narrow peak season. Different months bring different rewards — from quieter anchorages and fewer boats to nutrient-rich conditions and incredible marine life. By staying focused here, we keep refining what we know best: how to give guests a smoother, better-prepared, and more deeply considered Komodo trip.
How to make sure your Komodo trip feels right from the start
We know this is more than just choosing dates. You want to know the trip fits your travel style, your diving level, and the kind of experience you're hoping for. That's exactly what we help with.
Travel dates, diving experience, mixed dive/snorkel plans, special occasion, or anything else that matters to you.
We'll help you understand what fits best — clearly, personally, and without pressure.
Reserve your cabin online or message us first. Either way, the goal is the same: that your trip feels right from the start.
Because the best liveaboard trips don't begin when you step on board. They begin when you know you've chosen well.
